Synopsis

On the Atlantic coast of southern Namibia, a city makes its way into one of the most unpopulated territories of Africa. Lüderitz has grown like a miracle, becoming a model society in many ways.

A few kilometers away, Kolmanscop, the ghost town of diamonds, is swallowed by desert, abandoned by man. Maybe that’s why the founders of Lüderitz learned the lesson and built a more livable place … And all thanks to fishing.

In 1991, after the independence of Namibia, thanks to pioneering companies such as Pescanova, the first fish processing factory was built. The firm has created much more than a fishing company. He has developed a way of understanding life.

Several personal stories show how its inhabitants enjoy opportunities that have made this city a pioneer in questions of equality, sustainability and prosperity.

This is a human story, of men and women who have shown that it is possible to build a future between the desert and the ocean. A society that grows and thrives thanks to the philosophy of a company.
